Every jar has a story

My mother taught me,and her mother taught her. This land always gives back.

Every handful begins with a woman who has spent decades caring for the same land.

Every leaf is picked by hand.

Every blend and every bar carries a family tradition.

Every package keeps a story alive.

01

Sunrise

Golden light on stone houses.

Wooden doors open. Baskets are readied, scarves wrapped.

The walk to the fields begins slowly. Nothing here is rushed.

02

The Land

Hands touch the soil before anything is picked.

Wild za'atar, morning dew, children helping, goats somewhere behind the olive trees.

03

Harvest

Everything is harvested by hand.

Conversation, laughter, baskets filling.

The camera stays on the wrinkles. The work tells the story.

04

Drying

Bundles hang in the shade.

Sumac spread on cloth, dust floating in natural light.

05

Mixing

Spices turned by hand in wide wooden bowls.

No machines. Only hands, and time.

06

Packaging

One woman fills each package and ties it closed.

A wax seal. A small handwritten card.

She smiles, and looks straight at you.
